Advancements in information technology and artificial intelligence have provided novel tools for predicting and detecting specific crimes within judicial and law enforcement systems. Advanced software algorithms, by analyzing large volumes of historical, digital, and social data, are capable of identifying complex crime patterns, predicting criminal activities, and analyzing digital evidence. The use of these technologies enhances the accuracy and speed of criminal investigations, reduces human errors, and improves the allocation of law enforcement resources. However, the application of algorithms is accompanied by ethical, legal, and social challenges, including algorithmic bias, privacy violations, limited transparency of decisions, and legal responsibility. Experiences from different countries demonstrate that integrating technology with clear legal frameworks, ethical standards, and human oversight is the key to the legitimate utilization of algorithms. This paper reviews the applications, advantages, challenges, and international experiences, proposes legal and ethical frameworks for the safe and effective use of advanced algorithms in detecting specific crimes, and outlines their future prospects in criminal investigations and public security.
